The Sales & Relationship Manager is pivotal in driving revenue, maximizing occupancy, and enhancing profitability through efficient operations, exceptional guest experiences, and community engagement. Summary To identify and act upon revenue opportunities, including guest reservations, Private Events, large group reservations, repeat guests, VIGs, potential guests and additional revenue streams. The SRM is responsible for driving sales, maximizing occupancy, and impacting profitability through efficient operations, productivity, Guest Experience, and High Touch. The SRM is a pillar to the community and creates emotional connections and relationships through goodwill, volunteerism, and advocacy in the community. The Banquet Captain and Daytime Receptionist will report directly to this position.
Work Performed:

Guest Reservations:
Review upcoming and past reservation data. Utilize Tripleseat, OpenTable, OT Relationship Management, and GLP programs. Coordinate with FOH managers to enhance the Guest Experience. Identify and act upon opportunities for High Touches. 2.

Soliciting New Guests:
Attend industry events, bridal shows, tradeshows, etc. Host networking events at the restaurant. Conduct prospecting calls for new business. Actively network and promote the brand within the community. 3.

Private Events:
Respond to inquiries promptly via phone, email, and CRM (Tripleseat). Manage Private Events, including business dinners, banquets, and social events. Meet with Private Event Guests to discuss requirements and coordinate arrangements. Draw up contracts covering agreed-upon services and terms. Maintain communication with managers, service staff, and kitchen staff by effectively using banquet event orders (BEOs). Send post-event thank-you, gifts, etc 4.

Occupancy Management:
Proactively manage the book in OpenTable to maximize occupancy. 5.

Reporting:
Prepare and analyze reports related to sales data. 6.

Market Knowledge:
Maintain knowledge of the local market, competition, and marketing opportunities. 7.

Off-site Events:
Coordinate and attend off-site events as a representative of Jeff Ruby’s. 8.

Meeting Participation:
Attend and actively participate in daily Pre-Show and weekly Manager Meetings. Stay knowledgeable about restaurant operations. 9.

Physical Requirements:
Work a 50-hour work week, present for the start of dinner service at least 2 evenings each week. Ability to stand and walk during 8- to 10-hour shifts. Reach, bend, stoop, and lift up to 40 pounds. Work under pressure and handle stressful situations during busy periods. Maintain a professional image and demeanor.
Required Skills:
1. Excellent communication and organizational skills. 2. Proficient in Microsoft operating systems and required programs. 3. Energetic, competitive, hardworking, strong work ethic and a sense of responsibility. 4. Ability to remain calm under pressure. 5. Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business demands and for networking/off-site events. 6. Detail-oriented, able to multi-task and prioritize. 7. Keep current on Company menu, cocktail, and wine knowledge.
Required Experience:
1. Proven sales track record, preferably growing a book of business. 2. Preferred hospitality or restaurant experience.
Required Education:
4-year degree or equivalent experience required.
