HeroWear Event Marketing Manager:
Exceptional organizational skills and a commitment to staying ahead of deadlines. The ability to herd cats…in 3 cities at the same time. Comfort with face-to-face interactions and delivering in-person demonstrations and pitches. Experience managing (not just staffing) trade shows, conferences, hosted meetings, and other in-person events. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. The ability to collaborate with stakeholders and contributors in other parts of the organization. Someone who will thrive in a fluid environment and enjoy taking on new responsibilities and challenges, picking up new skills in the process. Self-reliant, goal-driven, and relentlessly resourceful, with a bias for action.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the VP of Marketing and Marketing Manager to develop a strategy for conferences and trade shows, including determining which events to attend, establishing the desired presence, and maximizing the return on each event investment. Manage all aspects of our trade show presence, from pre-show planning (budgeting, booth layout, logistics, staffing, and marketing) to on-site execution and collaborating with Sales for post-show follow-up. Work with industry trade groups to identify opportunities to reach our target audiences through non-event channels such as webinars, newsletters, and awards. Seek out and apply for speaking engagements, seminars, and keynotes at applicable conferences (working with content experts to craft pitches) Plan and manage HeroWear-owned events, including customer meetings, roadshow events, and internal events such as all-hands meetings and holiday parties. Requirements 2+ years of experience planning and working trade shows and exhibits Strong references to speak to organizational skills Flexibility to travel 30% of the year, with the potential to spend six or more consecutive days on the road Preference for candidates in Nashville (no relocation funding available), but we are willing to consider candidates in Atlanta, Chicago, or Las Vegas Native proficiency in English Preferred candidates will have: Experience with B2B trade shows and exhibits, with a preference for industrial or safety product experience B2B sales experience Experience working with CRMs (especially HubSpot) to track and manage leads before and after tradeshows
