Contracted Event Coordinator/Planner/Designer Bold & Belle Designs and Events Knoxville, TN Job Details Contract From $19 an hour 23 hours ago Benefits Professional development assistance Flexible schedule Qualifications Hospitality Management Customer service Event planning Mid-level Communication skills Under 1 year Full Job Description The Contracted Events Planner/Coordinator and Designer will be expected to help with all aspects of planning and coordinating under the direction of the Events Director. We are looking for someone creative and energetic. A self-starter with excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Tasks included, but not limited to:
- Sales and venue tours
- Event preparation/ behind the scenes office work
- Greeting/Working with outside vendors.
- Assisting in the direction of the wedding party prior to and during ceremony
- Ability to answer questions for clients and their guests.
- Tending to the bridal party on the day of the weddings.
- Assisting in set up and breakdown of the weddings and events.
- Assisting with food and beverage service as needed.
- Working with the Events Director to ensure the events and weddings run smoothly.
- Assist the team with vendor & client communication.
- Able to learn and create designs based on clients vision with the design team assistance Skills
- Extremely detail- oriented, professional, excellent customer service skills.
- The ability to take direction well, think quickly on their feet, as well as always have a positive attitude, even when under stressful situations.
- Must be able to take direction and be proactive and work unsupervised as you will be trained to be a leader and work independently on most occassions.
- Upbeat personality and eager to work in the hospitality industry.
- Eager to learn quickly and take guidance from the pros
- Flexible and Patient/Calm
- Flexibility in schedule and highly dependable
NOTE:
We are also looking for someone who has management experience for becoming a manager. If you have management experience, please let us know but this is not required
Experience:
- 2 years of experience in the hospitality industry preferred but not required.
- Event or wedding coordinating experience preferred but will train the right person.
- Knowledge of how to create and manage floor plans, timelines and more.
We are open to training the right person that is driven to learn and be a team player!
Schedule:
Must have a flexible schedule to be available for events and planning with reliable transportation. Busy days could include Thursday-Sunday. Smaller events throughout the week, We love interns as well so please apply if you are looking for experience. This is a contract position working as an independent contractor/1099 with special team perks! This is a great position for someone looking for extra income, experience in the events and design industry – etc. You will be working at one of our set venue with the option to travel to other venues if you prefer.
