Support Staff Job Summary The Department of Music is accepting applications for an Events Coordinator. The Event Coordinator will Report to the Chair of the Department of Music. This position coordinates all events, performances, and presentations for the department. Duties will include, but are not limited to:
Scheduling all aspects of department events and distributing them to ETSU calendars and promotional outlets.
Serve as house manager as needed for any department events.
Livestreaming, recording, and archiving all events.
Scheduling and managing student workers to perform various support tasks for music events.
Serve as primary liaison between the Department of Music and the Martin Center for the Arts, including box office, technical, and administrative staff.
Publishing, editing, and archiving programs for all events.
Work closely with Department Executive Aides to ensure that all administrative needs are covered.
This position requires a strong ability to communicate and collaborate with others across multiple areas on campus. Work hours will extend into nights and weekends to manage events and performances. Scheduled work time can be flexible during high demand for night and weekend duties. The value of employment at ETSU goes far beyond salary. Knowledge of office practices, procedures, and equipment.

Basic knowledge of event planning in the arts
Ability to type and format accurately.
Ability to maintain accurate files and records, paying attention to detail.
Ability to communicate and maintain an effective working relationship with constituents, patrons, artists, volunteers, students and staff of diverse backgrounds.
Ability to keep confidential information.
Ability to supervise students in a supportive, but firm manner.
Flexibility of schedule to perform duties after regular work hours and on weekends.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or GED and at least one (1) year of clerical or office experience;
or
An equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree with two years of experience.
Music background.
