Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Prep/Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a strong understanding of food preparation techniques. As a Prep Cook, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently, contributing to the overall success of our restaurant. This position requires attention to detail, teamwork, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. Duties Prepare and chop ingredients for various dishes according to recipes and menu specifications. Assist in the creation and planning of menus, ensuring that all meals meet dietary requirements. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including proper storage of food items. Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively, including knives and other food preparation tools. Collaborate with chefs and other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service. Follow all health and safety regulations in the food industry to maintain a safe working environment. Participate in catering events as needed, providing support for meal preparation and presentation. Experience Previous experience in a restaurant or culinary setting is preferred but not required. Familiarity with food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment is essential. Knowledge of menu planning and dietary department standards is a plus. Strong knife skills and experience with meal preparation are highly valued. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. A background in the food service industry will enhance your application.
