Food and Beverage Clerk/Cashier

Months Experience Required Summary:
Greet guests and courteously answer telephones, take orders, handle all calls and cash/credit transactions. Responsible for positive experience of guests while maintaining the quality standards of the outlet.
Essential Functions:
Answer incoming telephone calls and general guest questions about resort.
Complete and record purchase requisitions to maintain documentation of purchases. Serve and/or prepare selected food items in predetermined method in a timely and consistent manner. Use suggestive selling techniques to increase check average.
Make sure all menus/collateral/counters are wiped down, free of spots or stains, and complete.
Make sure entry doors are clean, free of debris and inviting.
Clean all shelves and refrigerators and set up for next shift.
Practice sanitation and safety daily to ensure total guest satisfaction.
Assist in inventory control. Provide an accurate assessment of inventory levels on a quarterly basis.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent. 12 months previous experience in hospitality or customer service. Friendly, calm, and professional under pressure. Must be able to work in extreme temperatures like freezers (-10°F) and kitchens, pool decks/beach (+110°F). Ability to stand for long periods and move around the restaurant – up to four (4) hours in length. Must be able to lift trays of food or food items weighing up to 30 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis.
Other:
Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel.
