The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and serving kava and botanical teas, ensuring a high-quality customer experience while maintaining a clean and organized workspace. As a Kavatender, you will play a vital role in fostering a welcoming environment and promoting our unique offerings to customers. Your expertise in food service and team collaboration will contribute to the overall success of our establishment. Responsibilities Prepare and serve kava and botanical tea beverages according to established recipes and presentation standards. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kava preparation area, ensuring compliance with food handling regulations. Train and mentor new staff members on kava preparation techniques, customer service skills, and operational procedures. Manage inventory levels of kava and related supplies, placing orders as necessary to ensure availability. Utilize the Clover POS system for processing orders efficiently and accurately. Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with patrons, answering questions about menu items, and making recommendations. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours and special events such as catering services. Assist in developing training programs that enhance staff skills in kitchen management and food service practices. Experience Previous experience in the food industry or hospitality is preferred. Familiarity with coffee preparation is a plus, as well as experience in catering services. Knowledge of food handling practices to ensure safety and quality standards are met. Experience in creating fun mocktails and spcialtiy drinks. Familiarity with all social media to promote the company and yourself.
