As a Dog Care Team member, you will be responsible for various tasks that contribute to the well-being of pets, while also maintaining a positive relationship with pet owners through excellent customer service. Responsibilities Provide daily care for pets, including feeding, walking, and administering medication as needed. Ensure the safety and comfort of pets while in your care. Engage in playtime and exercise to keep pets active and healthy. Maintain cleanliness in pet areas, including litter boxes, bedding, and feeding areas. Monitor pet behavior and health, reporting any concerns to the owner promptly. Offer basic grooming services when necessary, such as brushing or bathing. Maintain open communication with co workers and management regarding animals and well-being. Handle animals safely and effectively using proper animal restraint techniques when required. Qualifications Previous experience in animal care or related fields such as veterinary assistance or kennel work is preferred. Strong skills in animal handling and restraint to ensure safe interactions with various breeds and sizes. Knowledge of dog training techniques is a plus for managing behavior effectively. Excellent customer service skills to foster positive relationships with pet owners. Ability to work independently while demonstrating reliability and responsibility. A genuine passion for animals and commitment to providing high-quality care. Certification in pet first aid or CPR is an advantage but not required.
