Job Summary:
As a member of the Set Crew, you will be responsible for the on-site assembly and installation of prefabricated garages. This includes setting pre-built wood frame walls and trusses (with a crane or telehandler) and then completing the building (decking, siding, shingles). You will work directly with clients to ensure that installations are completed to the approved layout and meet the company’s quality standards. This role requires leadership qualities, a strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
Assembly and Installation:
Assemble and install prefabricated garage components according to provided layout and engineered plans. This includes erecting walls, installing roofs, overhead doors, entry doors, and windows, and securing all structural elements.
Quality Control:
Ensure all installations meet company standards and are according to engineered plans. Perform inspections to verify accuracy and functionality.
Customer Interaction:
Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide updates throughout the installation process. Address any concerns or questions they may have.
Safety:
Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. Use personal protective equipment and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations.
Tools and Equipment:
Must have knowledge on how to properly use pneumatic guns, hand tools and equipment. Report any malfunctions or needs for repair. •Due to an extensive backlog of jobs, this position requires you to do quality work at a fast pace.
Qualifications:
Experience:
Proven experience in construction or a related field, with specific experience in prefabricated structures preferred.
Skills:
Strong carpentry skills and proficiency with hand and power tools. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Ability to operate a telehandler forklift is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift heavy materials, work in various weather conditions, and perform physical tasks as required.
Licenses/Certifications:
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to the shop required. From there you will be using company vehicles to the job site.
Communication:
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.
Working Conditions:
Work is primarily outdoors at various job sites that cover an area from Jacksonville to Tampa Bay. May require working in various weather conditions. How to
