In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while preparing and serving high-quality deli products. You will play a vital role in creating a welcoming environment for our customers and ensuring that all food safety standards are met. Duties Prepare and serve deli items, including meats, cheeses, salads, and sandwiches, ensuring freshness and quality. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the deli area in accordance with health regulations. Assist customers with their orders, providing recommendations and upselling products to enhance their experience. Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently to process transactions accurately. Manage inventory levels by monitoring stock and assisting with ordering supplies as needed. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours. Adhere to all safety protocols while handling kitchen equipment and food products. Skills Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers. Experience in food preparation within a restaurant or retail setting is preferred. Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices. Proficient in time management to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment. Familiarity with retail math to assist in inventory management and pricing strategies. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
