You will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organization in the deli area, ensuring that all food handling and preparation meets safety standards. Your culinary skills and ability to engage with customers will contribute to a positive shopping experience. Duties Prepare and serve a variety of deli products, including meats, cheeses, and prepared foods. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the deli counter and surrounding areas. Assist customers with their selections, providing recommendations and upselling additional items when appropriate. Operate the POS system for processing customer transactions accurately. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling practices. Perform basic math calculations for portioning and pricing items. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during peak hours. Assist with inventory management, including restocking supplies as needed. Skills Strong culinary skills with experience in food preparation and handling. Basic math skills for accurate pricing and portioning of products. Familiarity with POS systems for processing sales transactions. Ability to upsell products effectively to enhance customer satisfaction. Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment is preferred. Excellent communication skills to interact positively with customers and team members.
