Responsibilities:

Prepare and bake a variety of goods such as bread, pastries, cakes, and cookies. Follow recipes and adjust ingredients as needed to ensure product consistency. Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the baking area, following food safety guidelines. Ensure all baked goods meet quality standards and are properly displayed. Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and inform management when reordering is necessary. Manage time effectively to ensure that all products are prepared on time. Assist in the creation of new baked goods and recipes. Calculate the food costs of new products by tracking ingredient prices, portion sizes, and production time to ensure profitability. Work with management to adjust recipes, ingredient quantities, or pricing to meet cost targets for new baked goods. Follow all health and safety regulations while handling food and equipment. Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations.

Requirements:

Previous experience in baking or pastry preparation is preferred but not required. Knowledge of baking techniques, equipment, and ingredient handling. Ability to follow recipes and maintain consistency. Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under pressure. Good physical stamina and the ability to work long hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends. Ability to work well as part of a team. A passion for baking and creating delicious products. Basic understanding of food cost calculations and ability to analyze ingredient prices and portion sizes.
