A Street Team Member will act as the front line of the marketing efforts of the Gwinnett Stripers. By being the face of the organization throughout the community, they play an imperative role in the grassroots marketing efforts of our organization. From creating new fans to gathering data to spreading the news of events at the ballpark, this role is perfect for people who want to start a career in sports marketing. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: Serve as brand ambassador for the Stripers at around of 3-4 off-site events per week Set-up, trouble-shooting, and teardown of the Street Team inflatables, tents, tables and games Help execute the majority of the Stripers community events Research and establish community efforts that parallel the Stripers promotional calendar Collect attendee & fan data to help grow the Stripers database Maintain an animated personality with good interpersonal communication skills and creativity Assist with the marketing and scheduling of the mascot program to generate revenue within company guidelines Able to assist mascots during any events on top of off-site appearances Provide top of the line customer service at private and public events representing the Stripers brand Assist with administrative tasks and other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Highly motivated, energetic and talented individual with excellent non-verbal communication skills to entertain fans Flexible, enthusiastic, and energetic attitude. Highly developed interpersonal and communicative skills. (Bilingual English/Spanish a plus) Experience in speaking in front of large audiences. Ability to work with individuals of all ages and capacities, including those with developmental and physical disabilities. Understanding and appreciation for diverse cultures and an ability to relate well with individuals of diverse backgrounds. Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation Ability to work long hours, weekends and occasional holidays. Ability to exert physical effort which may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of light weight.
