Front of House Team Member Area Four Cambridge, MA 02139 FOH
TEAM MEMBER
Area Four is a fast-casual wood-fired pizza joint with a clean industrial look located in the heart of Cambridge’s bustling Kendall Square. We have a wide offering of gourmet pizzas, craft beer, locally roasted coffee, and homemade pastries. With warm weather and a 21-table patio right around the corner, we are looking to bring on a group of new staff members to elevate our team. If you are a team player who enjoys a fast-paced work environment with an unbridled commitment to hospitality, then we would love to hear from you! Ideal candidates would be passionate about food and beverage, detail-oriented, driven, and professional. Area Four is looking for positions across all of Front of House. Saturday & Sunday availability is a must!
Hosts:
Greet and seat guests. Answer phones and respond to guest questions Ring in orders through delivery services Overall help control the flow of service in the restaurant
Bussers:
Keep tables clear during all steps of guests’ meal. Aid the floor staff to ensure that we are always ready for anything Quickly react to any messes/breaks so that serving staff can stay focused on the guest at hand.
Expo:
Control the flow of communication from the kitchen to the dining floor Meticulous knowledge of our food for quality control as it exits the kitchen Getting food into the hands of servers and other food runners to keep a clear work space Control the packaging of takeout food
Servers:
Follow general steps of service to ensure prompt service to guests Maintain a hospitable personality to create a welcoming environment Use interpersonal skills to intuit guests needs Constant sidework to ensure ever smooth operations Area Four is open 7 days a week. The restaurant opens at 11:00 AM and we close at 10 PM every day. Pay starts at $15/hr + tips for café team members, $18/hr for host staff, and $7/hr + tips for all other FoH team members.
