Job Description
⚐ ⚑ ⚑ Lobster Boat Crew member (Sternman) (Port Clyde) compensation: $15 per hour/15% of catch employment type: job title: Lobster boat crew member (Sternman) Work aboard a 38′ commercial lobster boat in Maine tending to 800 lobster traps 5-6 days per week from March to January. No prior experience necessary! Willing to train anyone with a good work ethic! Work outdoors in the elements. Work on the water off the coast of Maine on a lobster boat. See beautiful sunrises and sometimes sunsets. Working with your hands. Most work days end around 3pm.
Job Responsibilities:
Prepare traps and gear for fishing season set out 800 traps from shore to fishing grounds Re-bait each trap and Band lobsters keep the boat clean Take up 800 traps from fishing grounds to shore at the end of the season
Qualifications:
Ability to show up on time at 4am each morning. Abilty to learn and accept more responsibility through on the job training. Must be able to work in all types of weather conditions and not get sea sick. Must be drug free. If you get sea sick this isn’t the job for you. A background check will be conducted. No exprience required as long as the above Criteria is met. Work for me for a week to see if you like it and if it’s not for you, there won’t be any hard feelings if you want to leave.
