Packaging Crew Member 2.0 2.0 out of 5 stars 34 Kidder Point Road, Searsport, ME 04974 Overview We are seeking dedicated and skilled Packaging Crew Members to join our team. As a Crew Member, you will be responsible for packaging product following GAC procedures.
Duties :
Works independently or as part of a crew to meet packaging requirements and deadlines. Follows direction of the Sulfate Packaging Lead Person and reports to the Frontline Supervisor and other Production Supervision staff. Supports the Food Safety and Quality Management Policy. This includes an obligation to report any concerns with the Food Safety Management System. Maintains neat and clean equipment and work area. Operates front-end loaders, fork lift trucks, and various packaging and material handling equipment Performs routine checks and operator-level maintenance on equipment Maintains adequate on hand inventory of packaging materials for current and future orders. Assures packaged product remains clean and uncontaminated, that it is properly palletized and labeled, and that weights are accurate. Transfers palletized product to storage area(s). Loads trucks or other shipping containers with packaged product. Responsible for verifying accuracy of shipping papers as well as suitability of trailers or other containers. Completes assigned documentation accurately and in a timely fashion. Employee may be assigned to various work areas or buildings and to work with various types of packaging. Assures each area is operated under optimum conditions, including performance of routine housekeeping. Completes assigned training and refresher training in a timely manner. May be assigned to train other employees in the work area. Performs all work in accordance with the Company’s Safety and Environmental Policies and procedures, and assures there are no product spills in his/her area. Follow all applicable current Good Manufacturing Practices. Corrective actions will be initiated and completed in a timely manner.
