Deli Clerk Description:

The Maritime Market on beautiful Bald Head Island is hiring a Deli Clerk. Our newly renovated Deli prepares fresh items daily, including fresh juices and pasta. The Deli Clerk will assist in preparing the fresh juices, pasta, sandwiches, sliced meats and salads, along with other culinary items. Come experience island life and get to ride a boat to work. All ferry fees and parking fees are paid for by the Maritime Market. And you get a free meal each day!

Essential Functions :

Slice meats and cheeses, prepare deli trays, package salads. Prepare fresh juices. Prepare fresh pasta. Bake bread, cookies, and muffins. Rotate all goods and supplies. Properly merchandise deli, cheese and bread cases. Maintain deli equipment and food dispensing equipment in a sanitary condition and good working order. Stay in stock of all supply items. Conform to all county health laws and regulations to keep an “A” rating. Stock deli items and condiments, Ensure customers have a pleasant experience.

Special Requirements:

Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for sedentary work. This type of work usually requires walking or standing to a significant degree.
