In this role, you will be responsible for preparing a variety of delicious Breakfast sandwiches and Salads while ensuring high standards of food safety and sanitation. You will play a key part in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers, contributing to their overall dining experience in our café. Duties Prepare and assemble sandwiches according to customer specifications and menu standards. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and work areas, adhering to food handling and sanitation guidelines. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently while following all safety protocols. Assist with inventory management, including tracking ingredients and supplies needed for sandwich preparation. Engage with customers to take orders, provide recommendations, and upsell menu items effectively. Operate cash registers accurately, handling transactions with precision and ensuring proper cash management. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods, including bussing tables as needed. Experience Previous experience in a culinary or kitchen environment is preferred but not required; training will be provided. Familiarity with retail math concepts to assist in managing inventory and sales effectively. Basic knowledge of food handling practices and sanitation standards is essential. Strong communication skills to interact positively with customers and team members. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
