Cafe Team Member Brooklyn Bathhouse 731 Flatbush Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11226 Job Summary We are seeking cafe crew members who are excellent at multi-tasking and enjoy a multi-faceted job. As a crew member, you will be running the whole show while on shift: making coffees and drinks, preparing and plating food to order, and counter service. Our menu consists of sandwiches, salads, pasta and soups. While most is prepped in advance and plated fresh, a few dishes (like our pasta) require a little more on-the-spot cooking. As a result, we really need someone who has kitchen experience, but who also has the customer service skills and bartending skills to handle the FOH as well. Customers will order at the bar Responsibilities Provide outstanding customer service by greeting and assisting customers with their orders. . Prepare food items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring quality and presentation. Prepare coffees, teas, and other beverages according to the established recipes. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and dining areas, adhering to health and safety regulations. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours. Assist in inventory management by restocking supplies as needed. Utilize oour POS system for order processing and customer interactions. Qualifications Previous experience in food service is required: At least 1-2 years of cooking in a commercial kitchen or cafe AND at least 2 years of bartending/barista experience. Strong customer service skills. Excellent time management abilities to handle multiple tasks efficiently. Basic culinary skills with an understanding of kitchen operations. Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a dynamic environment. Must have a flexible schedule, including availability on weekends and holidays.
