Knowyour Business:

Understand how to access and read production and/orfinancial performance reporting for your department See theconnection between consistent execution and the positive impact itcan have on the business Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and KeyAccountabilities Provides a high level of customer service toMembers. Answers questions and recommends deli items. AnswersMember calls and takes special orders. Slices, packages, and weighsdeli products, including cheeses and meats. Helps Members selectthe correct products. Samples product to assist in purchasingdecisions. Prepares and packages special orders and party trays.

Receives and inspects deli shipments. Displays, stocks, rotate, andstores deli products following food safety, food freshness, andproduct handling policies and procedures. Ensures that all productsare fresh and meet company quality standards. Checks forout-of-date products daily and follows appropriate product salvagepolicies and procedures. Ensures deli cooler shelves and delidisplay cases have a wide variety of product. Stocks and rotatesdeli items when necessary. Operates and handles deli equipment inaccordance with safety policies and procedures. Cleans andsanitizes deli equipment and food surfaces throughout thedepartment, including rotisserie ovens, cooking utensils,refrigerated cases, and the deli cooler. Ensures scale systems arein working order. Makes sure items are weighed and pricedaccurately. Maintains all club policies and procedures. Performsother duties as assigned, including working in other departments asneeded. Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essentialfunction of this job. Qualifications Work experience in a delidepartment preferred. Prior experience operating manual/powerslicers and scales preferred. Knowledge of deli products preferred.

At least 18 years of age. Environmental Job Conditions Most of thetime is spent moving about frequently on hard surfaces. There maybe a need to occasionally position oneself to examine or scanmerchandise, including bending, handling, pulling, reaching, and/orstooping. Frequently requires lifting objects up to 30 pounds. Mayrequire lifting and moving heavy and/or awkward objects greaterthan 30 pounds with assistance. Located in a comfortable indoorenvironment with frequent exposure to temperature extremes fromfreezers, ovens, and/or coolers. There may be frequent exposure tocleaning agents. In accordance with the Pay Transparencyrequirements, the following represents a good faith estimate of thecompensation range for this position. At BJ’s Wholesale Club, wecarefully consider a wide range of non-discriminatory factors whendetermining salary. Actual salaries will vary depending on factorsincluding but not limited to location, education, experience, andqualifications. The pay range for this position is$18.25-$22.36.
