The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing excellent customer service while assisting with food preparation and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. This position is essential in ensuring that customers have a positive experience at our establishment. Duties Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately. Assist with food preparation, ensuring adherence to safety and hygiene standards. Operate the Aloha POS system for processing transactions efficiently. Maintain cleanliness of the counter area, dining space, and kitchen as required. Provide assistance to customers by answering questions about menu items and making recommendations. Engage in upselling techniques to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales. Handle cash and perform basic math calculations for transactions accurately. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours. Skills Experience in food preparation and knowledge of culinary practices is preferred. Strong math skills, including retail math, for accurate transaction handling. Familiarity with grocery store operations is a plus. Proficiency in using Aloha POS or similar point-of-sale systems is advantageous. Excellent communication skills with a focus on providing help and support to customers. Previous experience in the food industry or food service is beneficial but not mandatory. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
