Sandwich and Salad Maker Delicious Moments Caterers 792 Merrick Road, Baldwin, NY 11510 Overview We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Sandwich & Salad Maker to join our team in a fast-paced catering kitchen. As a Sandwich & Salad Maker, you will play a crucial role in food preparation and ensuring that our customers receive high-quality sandwiches & salads made with fresh ingredients. This position requires a strong commitment to food safety and sanitation practices, as well as excellent time management skills to efficiently handle orders during peak hours. Work week is Monday through Saturday 7:00am to 2:30 pm Duties Prepare and assemble sandwiches & salads according to company specifications while maintaining high standards of quality and presentation. Ensure all food preparation areas are sanitized and comply with health and safety regulations. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including slicers, grills, ovens, etc. Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and notifying management of any shortages. Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen area, including washing dishes, cleaning surfaces, and disposing of waste properly. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods while maintaining a positive work environment. Experience Previous experience in a deli or catering kitchen setting is preferred but not required; culinary training is a plus. Familiarity with food safety standards and sanitation practices is essential. Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members. A willingness to learn and adapt to new recipes and techniques as needed.
