Deli Associate/Customer Service C & D Old World Bagels Warwick, NY 10990 Overview We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Deli Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while preparing and serving high-quality deli products. You will play a key part in maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment, ensuring food safety standards are met, and contributing to a positive shopping experience for our customers. Responsibilities Assist customers with their deli orders, providing knowledgeable recommendations and ensuring satisfaction. Prepare and serve a variety of deli items, including meats, cheeses, salads, and sandwiches. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the deli area in compliance with food safety regulations. Operate the Aloha POS system efficiently to process customer transactions accurately. Buss tables and clean dining areas as needed to ensure a tidy environment for guests. Monitor inventory levels and assist with restocking supplies as necessary. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours. Follow all kitchen protocols to maintain food quality and safety standards. Requirements Previous experience in customer service or culinary roles is preferred but not required. Strong understanding of food safety practices and sanitation procedures. Ability to perform basic math calculations for accurate pricing and transactions. Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Aloha POS, is a plus. Excellent communication skills with a friendly demeanor towards customers and team members. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds as needed.
