POSITION OVERVIEW
Field Team members report directly to the Field Division Manager. In daily work they are supervised by Crew Leaders, focusing on tree maintenance and care. Other operational work (listed further below) may be required of the employee.100% of this employee’s time will be spent working outside. Weekly workload may be dictated by adverse weather. The starting pay for this position is $18/hr, and weekly hours will be capped at 30.
POSITION DURATION
This position is available between May 1st, 2025 to September 30th, 2025. Start and end dates may be flexible depending on employee availability. Hours are between Monday – Friday, 8 AM – 4 PM. There may be some variation dependent on daily workload.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Serves as a key component to the Tree Care Program’s day-to-day watering from May 1st to September 30th. Work with a team to deliver supplemental water to thousands of trees throughout Davidson county Assists with other tree care activities, including mulching Employee may assist with other field programs, as needed by the organization, such as: Assist in large-scale clean-ups to meet grant deliverables Ability to assist in Green Infrastructure installation and maintenance Serves as field laboring help in stream restoration projects Work with staff on 319, ILF, WQIP, City of Franklin Deliverables and Root Nashville deliverables
QUALIFICATIONS
This is a field position. A successful applicant will enjoy working outside through the seasons Ability to regularly lift 50 pounds This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day 18 years of age Valid form of identification Interest in environmental causes a plus Must be a team player Well-organized, detail-oriented, and resourceful, with the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks, assignments, and priorities
