In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while preparing and serving a variety of deli products. You will work in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that our customers receive high-quality food and a pleasant shopping experience. Duties Prepare and serve deli items, including meats, cheeses, salads, and sandwiches, following food safety guidelines. Assist customers with their selections, providing recommendations and answering questions regarding menu items. Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system for cash handling and processing transactions accurately. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the deli area, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Monitor inventory levels and assist in restocking supplies as needed to ensure product availability. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during peak hours. Engage with customers to enhance their experience, promoting special offers or new menu items. Qualifications Previous experience in the food industry or café setting is preferred but not required. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members. Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and understanding retail math concepts. Familiarity with culinary practices and food preparation techniques is a plus. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
