Job Summary:

The Assistant to the Distiller will work closely with the Head Distiller to support all aspects of whiskey production. From mashing and fermentation to distillation, barreling, and bottling, you’ll be hands-on in every step of the process. This is an ideal role for someone eager to learn, work hard, and grow within the spirits industry.

Responsibilities:

Assist in daily distilling operations including mashing, fermenting, distilling, and cleaning Monitor and document production metrics and quality control data Help with barrel filling, barrelhouse management, and bottling Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Perform routine equipment maintenance and troubleshooting Handle raw materials and finished products safely and efficiently Participate in tours and tastings as needed, representing the brand with enthusiasm and knowledge

Requirements:

Strong attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in physically demanding environments (heat, humidity, standing for long periods) Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn the technical side of distilling Previous experience in a production environment (brewery, winery, distillery, or food manufacturing) preferred but not required Passion for craft spirits and a desire to build a career in the industry Willingness to obtain Alcohol Safety Certification Must be 21 years of age or older
