Job Description

Brewery Operations Manager 3 Sons Brewing Co Dania Beach, FL 33004 The Brewery Operations Manager will oversee all aspects of brewery production and operations — including brewing, cellaring, packaging, inventory, staffing, safety, and compliance. This is a leadership role requiring cross-functional collaboration and hands-on management to ensure smooth day-to-day execution while driving long-term efficiency and quality improvements. Key Responsibilities Production Oversight Manage brewing, cellaring, packaging, and warehousing operations to meet production goals and uphold product quality. Staff Leadership & Development Lead and support production teams, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management. Foster a positive and productive team culture. Process Optimization Analyze and improve operational workflows to increase efficiency, reduce downtime, and enhance consistency across all production areas. Quality Assurance Collaborate with brewers and quality control staff to maintain high standards across all beer styles. Participate in sensory panels and recipe reviews. Inventory & Supply Chain Manage inventory of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods. Coordinate procurement and maintain vendor relationships. Budget & Cost Management Work with ownership and finance to develop and monitor budgets, control production costs, and forecast resource needs. Safety & Compliance Ensure compliance with OSHA, and all applicable health and safety regulations. Conduct safety training and audits regularly. Equipment Maintenance Oversee regular maintenance of brewing and packaging equipment. Coordinate with vendors for service, repairs, and capital upgrades. Education & Experience 5+ years of experience in brewery operations, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role Formal brewing education (e.g., IBD, Siebel, UC Davis) preferred Bachelor’s degree in Brewing Science, Food Science, Engineering, Business, or related field (preferred) Experience working in a mid-size production brewery Skills & Attributes Strong leadership and team management abilities Excellent organizational, time-management, and multitasking skills Clear, professional communication (written and verbal) In-depth knowledge of brewing processes, beer styles, and QA/QC practices Hands-on knowledge of brewery equipment, safety, and sanitation Proficiency with brewery management software, spreadsheets, and reporting tools Passion for craft beer and a strong work ethic Physical Requirements Ability to frequently lift, move, and carry up to 80 pounds Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb stairs/ladders, and perform repetitive movements for extended periods Comfortable working in hot, cold, wet, noisy, and fast-paced environments Ability to safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other brewery equipment (training provided if necessary) Must have good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination Capable of working in confined spaces and at heights when needed Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, or weekends, depending on production needs

Full-time Pay:

$62,000.00 – $70,000.00 per year
