The Assistant Manager is responsible for leading the Beverage Program at Brewery Bhavana and supporting the overall management of the restaurant, including overseeing all aspects of function, workflow, cleanliness, set-up, maintenance, and operations of the bar areas. This role encompasses a wide range of duties from staff management to inventory control, customer service, and financial oversight. The Assistant Manager ensures exceptional service and maintains a welcoming atmosphere, while also managing bar operations and collaborating with other departments to optimize the restaurant’s performance. Primary Responsibilities 1. Hire, manage, train, schedule, provide feedback and leadership to all Bartenders and adjacent staff at Brewery Bhavana – Fenton. 2. Lead, oversee, review, assess and improve current workflows, and coordinate the following expectations of all

Bartenders:

prepares all drink orders that come in through the bar station in accordance with the specifications on the tape, assuring that no drink is served before it is rung on the computer. mixes and serves all alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks for guests in bar area, this includes mixed drinks, wine, bottle and draft beer and coffee drinks. The Bartender ensures all drinks are rung on the computer immediately on serving or before. sells and serves food at the bar and bar tables and may assist the service staff in selling and serving food items in the bar area. The Bartender must know the method of preparation, ingredients, portion sizes, preparation time, quality standards, taste, appearance, texture, serving temperature, garnish, and method of presentation for all menu items and be able to accurately describe and sell the items to the guests. must be able to use both computer and manual systems for processing checks correctly, including additions, omissions and correct pricing. The Bartender verifies their bank and is accountable for all cash and charge sales collected. responsible for requisitioning beer and wine according to par stock levels. The Bartender strictly observes all par stock levels including glassware, straws, napkins, juices, olives, etc. and reports any irregularities to the Manager immediately. responsible for specific sidework duties including stocking and cleaning responsibilities. maintains a clean bar area, maintains the beer storage room and wine storage rooms in an orderly fashion, ensuring that the bar is always clean, neat, orderly and that the operating rules are adhered to. sets up the bar station and closes down the station daily. completely familiar with all liquor brands, recipes for cocktails, glassware, garnishes, coffee machine and Food Server procedure. They are familiar with all beverage lists including the wine list, specialty drinks and wines by the glass and is creative in new drinks recipes. The bartender is also responsible for all beverage inventories and requisitions. must be familiar with and strictly abide by liquor regulations, particularly those prohibiting service to minors or to intoxicated persons. thoroughly familiar with and complies with guidelines specified in the Employee and Service Handbooks. 3. Training and Meeting- plan and lead bartender and staff training sessions and meetings such as wine seminars and Service meetings. 4. Ensure legal and safety protocols and best practices are always in use and look for improvements to employee health and safety in the bar environment. 5. Lead relationships, ordering and inventory and cost management with beverage vendors, including, wine, non-alcoholic bar related items, sales representative, ABC orders and pick-ups, and Brewery Bhavana beer delivery and stock management. 6. Cover all shifts as required 7. All other work-related duties as assigned by management. Requirements Proven Skill in handling multiple tasks, balancing competing priorities, staying calm in the face of pressure and resolving conflict. Proven ability to manage staff, bar scope of work and pair food and beverage compliments working with Chefs. Passionate about excellence in hospitality, service, beverage service, and food. ABC Alcohol Server Training certificate or ability to obtain. Ability to work a flexible schedule: days, nights, and/or weekends. Preferred Skills Deep expertise in various aspects of wine, spirits, beer and alcohol management. Previous experience leading a beverage program Bartending. Successfully held multiple Front of the House positions.
