CLASSIFICATION
Key Employee SUMMARY:

The Lead Technician’s primary responsibility is to maintain, service and repair gaming machines and a variety of other equipment, as well as leadership and guidance to the Gaming Machine Techs. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

include the following (other duties may be assigned): Responsible for providing training, technical direction and guidance to team members in installing, servicing, adjusting and repairing of gaming machines. Maintains and complies with safety and security standards. Develops and maintains effective working relationships and good customer service skills with all GUESTS and

STAFF MEMBERS.

Leads staff in safeguarding of gaming machines and other company assets, maintains gaming machine parts and inventories; and maintains secure key controls and ensures that machines are in a secure and locked state. Provides technical direction to team members in troubleshooting of equipment and records appropriate information on the Machine Entry Authorization Log. Trains team members to adjust and align gaming machines to meet or exceed factory specifications. Leads and coordinates the movement of gaming machines as required or requested. Maintains alertness for the performance of all responsibilities and a general awareness of casino operations at all time. Takes appropriate action based on observations, as directed or established by casino policy, procedures or gaming rules and regulations. Informs supervisor of any concerns. Trains team members to perform machine conversions as required or requested. Trains team members to repair problems on the spot or removes and replaces suspect bad components for later repair in the lab. Performs other duties, including special projects, as needed and directed. Must be able to install, repair and maintain tracking system. Responsible for consistently and diplomatically maintain good public relations with casino GUESTS and

STAFF MEMBERS. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma or GED. With course work in electronics; or graduation from trade or technical school, preferably with an emphasis in electronics. One or more (1+) years of recent and related experience installing, servicing, adjusting and repairing gaming related or other coin operated machines, preferably within a gaming environment. Must be twenty-one (21) years of age. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record. No felony or theft convictions. Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screen, background investigation, obtain and maintain gaming license. Tribal Preference.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Demonstrated experience installing, servicing, adjusting and repairing gaming related and other coin operated machines. Demonstrated experience providing training, technical direction and guidance to team members. Demonstrated experience performing “bench level” electronic work. Demonstrated working knowledge of gaming machines and operation. Demonstrated effective and diplomatic customer service and communication skills, which includes contacts with employees and customers. Demonstrated experience performing within specific deadlines or under pressure. Demonstrated experience problem solving, organizing and prioritizing work.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly is required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand and walk. The employee occasionally is required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds or more.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work is generally performed in office setting, Casino setting with exposure to second-hand smoke and moderate noise level, as well as, outdoors at maintenance work sites. Exposure to natural weather conditions, various dusts and mists, and normal debris and hazards common at construction sites may occur while performing outdoor duties. Situations where safety-toe shoes, safety goggles, gloves, protective face shields or hardhats as needed. Prolonged standing and walking may be on uneven surfaces or unstable ground. Tight time constraints and multiple demands are common. Evening and/or weekend work may be required. Extended hours and irregular shifts may be required.

I understand that I may be scheduled to work any shift, due to the business being open 24/7, 365 days a year. I understand that the casino is open and operating on all holidays. I understand that I am expected to work the schedule that is assigned to me weekly or monthly, accepting any changes that are made by my supervisor(s). I understand that I am expected to be on time for any and all shifts, due to the fact I may need to relieve a team members and that there may be scheduled events for our guests. I understand as stated in our Handbook, penalty points will be charged and accumulated for all absences.
