We are looking for friendly, energetic hosts to welcome our guests with a smile and above-and-beyond service at the service cash register. Position is hourly plus cash tips and CC tips for Online and take out orders, and after 90 days of employment each hourly employee will be added to our tip allocation as well. An additional income! Position Summary:

The Host is responsible for providing a great first impression by displaying a friendly demeanor with a bit of southern hospitality

• the host will take guests orders for dine in as well as TO GO orders according to

COLT GRILL

procedures.

Essential Functions:

• Displays an outgoing personality with a touch of southern hospitality
• Answer incoming calls to the restaurant and provide appropriate service.
• Manage the flow of Guests into the dinning and bar areas, provide accurate wait times to incoming Guests if appropriate.
• Tend to special Guest needs and requests; highchairs, etc. “Of course! I’d be happy to!”
• Observe guest needs throughout dinning experience to ensure they receive

HIGH QUALITY

service. (i.e. notice if food is untouched, refills, clear dirty dishes)

• Protect establishment and guests by adhering to sanitation, safety and alcohol control policies.
• Maintain dining room cleanliness by helping clear tables, setting tables, sweeping, dry vacuuming rugs, etc.
• Receive payments by validating credit card charges; accepting currency; calculating and issuing change for DINE IN and TO GO orders.
• Reconcile cash drawers by providing drawer counts each shift
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
• Must practice safe food and beverage handling and cleanliness at all times
• Able to adhere to schedule and be on time for shifts, training and required meeting.
• Operate and participate effectively in a team environment

To-Go Functions :

• Takes accurate orders by telephone or in person, explains menu items and offers appropriate suggestions to Guests.
• Packages up food ensuring accuracy, double checking modifiers
• Uses P.

O.S (Point of Sale) system effectively and accurately. Must accurately handle money, make change and process credit card transactions If you think this is the job for you, send us your resume with references!

Qualifications:

• Host/hostess experience
• Food service background
• Strong customer service skills
• Previous restaurant experience
• Excellent communication skills
• Familiarity with POS systems
• Knowledge of

TOAST POS

system is a plus

• Hotel experience is a plus
• Ability to provide exceptional guest services
• Proficient in serving and hospitality practices
• Good phone etiquette and guest relations skills
