Host The Charles 161 Main Street, Wethersfield, CT 06109 Job Summary We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring they feel welcomed and valued as soon as they enter our establishment. Your ability to communicate effectively and manage guest relations will be essential in creating a positive dining experience. Duties Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide them with a menu. Manage the seating chart and efficiently assign tables based on guest flow and server availability. Answer phone calls with excellent phone etiquette, assisting with reservations and inquiries. Maintain a clean and organized front-of-house area to enhance the guest experience. Collaborate with the restaurant staff to ensure smooth operations during busy periods. Utilize Aloha POS or similar systems for managing reservations and waitlists effectively. Address guest concerns promptly, ensuring satisfaction and fostering positive guest relations. Assist in other areas of the restaurant as needed, contributing to a team-oriented environment. Experience Previous experience in guest services or hospitality is preferred but not required. Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Aloha POS, is a plus. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for effective interaction with guests and staff. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and composure. A passion for providing exceptional service in a restaurant or hotel setting is highly valued.
