Hostess/Host Water Street Waffle Company 133 Bank Street, New London, CT 06320 Job Summary We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, setting the tone for their dining experience. Your primary responsibilities will include greeting guests, managing reservations, and ensuring a smooth flow of service. A strong focus on customer service and guest relations is essential to create a welcoming atmosphere. Duties Greet guests warmly upon arrival and escort them to their tables. Manage reservations and maintain an organized seating chart to optimize table turnover. Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries and concerns promptly. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host station and dining area. Collaborate with restaurant staff to ensure timely service and guest satisfaction. Handle phone calls with professionalism, assisting guests with reservations or inquiries about the menu and services offered. Qualifications Previous experience in a restaurant or hotel setting is preferred but not required. Strong customer service skills with a passion for hospitality. Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills. Familiarity with POS systems is a plus. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
