Weekend Host Fireside Brick Oven 1661 Route 12, Gales Ferry, CT 06335 Job Summary We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team in the hospitality industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests, managing reservations, and ensuring efficient seating arrangements. This role is pivotal in providing excellent customer service and enhancing guest relations within our restaurant. Responsibilities Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide them with an inviting first impression of the restaurant. Manage the seating chart and ensure timely seating of guests to optimize flow and efficiency. Handle reservations and walk-in guests, maintaining an organized waitlist when necessary. Assist with guest inquiries, providing information about menu items, specials, and restaurant policies. Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during busy periods. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and dining area. Utilize POS systems effectively to manage guest orders and payments (experience with Aloha POS is a plus). Uphold high standards of guest services, addressing any concerns or requests promptly. Requirements Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred but not mandatory. Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and satisfaction. Excellent phone etiquette for handling reservations and inquiries over the phone. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills and a friendly demeanor are essential for this role.
