Hostess/Cashier Kasai Sushi Bar and Kitchen Gainesville, FL 32606 Overview We are seeking a friendly and efficient Host/Cashier to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring a smooth dining experience. Your ability to communicate effectively and provide exceptional customer service will be key to enhancing guest satisfaction and loyalty. Duties Greet guests warmly upon arrival and guide them to their tables. Manage the seating chart to optimize table turnover while maintaining guest comfort. Take orders accurately using the Point of Sale (POS) system and process payments efficiently. Assist guests with inquiries about the menu, specials, and restaurant policies. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area, including menus and waiting areas. Collaborate with kitchen staff and servers to ensure timely service delivery. Handle guest complaints or concerns with professionalism and a focus on resolution. Support other team members as needed in various capacities within the restaurant. Skills Proficiency in using POS systems for order entry and payment processing. Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred. Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and hospitality. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with guests and team members. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. A positive attitude and willingness to help others contribute to a collaborative team atmosphere.
