Job Description
Host Mangos Southern Kitchen and Bar 5137 North Florida Avenue, Tampa, FL 33603 Overview We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring excellent customer service. Your responsibilities will include managing reservations, greeting guests, and maintaining the flow of the dining experience. If you have a passion for hospitality and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, we would love to hear from you. Duties Greet guests warmly as they arrive and escort them to their tables. Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently to optimize guest flow. Communicate effectively with the kitchen and wait staff to ensure timely service. Assist guests with inquiries regarding the menu, specials, and restaurant policies. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and dining area. Handle phone calls with professionalism, providing information about the restaurant and taking reservations as needed. Support the team during busy periods by assisting with various tasks in the restaurant. Experience Previous experience in guest services or customer service roles is preferred. Familiarity with restaurant operations or food service is an advantage. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for interacting with guests and staff. Knowledge of Aloha POS system is a plus but not required; training will be provided. A positive attitude and a commitment to delivering exceptional hospitality are key to success in this role.
