Job Description

Hostess/Host cascades of groveland Groveland, FL 34736 As the first point in contact, Host/Hostess is to provide excellent customer service by greeting guests and escorting to their table. Host/Hostess is responsible for managing reservations and monitoring waiting times as well as assisting servers as needed.

Duties and Essential Functions:

Greet incoming and outgoing guests Manage reservations, provide accurate wait times and monitor waiting and seating list Escort guests to assigned dining or bar areas, provide chair assistance and menu presentation along with server’s name Maintain reception area, dining area and working areas clean at all times. Cater to guests who require extra attention (e.g. children, elderly, or for special occasions Answer incoming calls and address customers’ queries Assist servers as needed Supervisory Responsibility This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Work Environment This job entails frequent exposure to smoke, steam, high temperatures, humidity and extreme cold. There is also frequent contact/immersion of hands in water, sanitation solutions, meat products, poultry products, seafood and produce items. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear and stand. The employee is frequently required to reach, bend, stoop, shake, stir, pour, carry, push and lift objects up to 30 pounds. There is substantial repetitive motion of the wrists, hands and fingers. Position Type and Expected Hours of Work This is a non-exempt position. The work schedule will likely change throughout the year to accommodate the business needs of the property. Travel No travel is expected for this position.
