Job Description

Trolley Host 3.3 3.3 out of 5 stars 3619 Kiessel Road, The Villages, FL 32163 Within the spirit of “Making People’s Dreams Come True”, this position is responsible for warmly welcoming visitors to the Sales & Information Centers and engaging them as they take a tour of The Villages on one of our old-fashioned trolleys. This role enthusiastically shares all there is to know about our hometown’s history and amenities. This role also provides helpful tips along the route to ensure our guests enjoy their stay and/or helps them get a better sense of what it is like to live in this amazing place called The Villages! These duties are accomplished while delivering Raving Fans customer service to both internal and external customers.

Part Time, Onsite Position Responsibilities:

Provide a welcoming door service for all who visit any of the Sales Centers and/or embarks on a trolley tour, smiling and acknowledging every guest. Engage guests and visitors as they wait to board a trolley/take a tour – which includes rapport and relationship building. Facilitate trolley tours for guests and visitors, presenting information as prescribed in a warm, friendly, and engaging way. Create a tour atmosphere in which all involved can enjoy the ride and learn about The Villages lifestyle. Respond to guests’ questions while avoiding responses to real estate questions, connecting them to a Sales & Marketing Representatives post tour when applicable. Share important information gained on the tour regarding a guest’s needs and/or interests with affected parties. Maintain a general working knowledge of The Villages and stay updated about the community via our various media channels (ex: Daily Sun newspaper, The Villages App, social media pages, etc.). Communicate and interface effectively and professionally with guests, teammates, and service providers always. Attend special meetings, educational sessions, and assist leadership in ongoing training of new team members. Participate in lobby host duties and functions as called upon. All other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience Requirements:

No educational pre-requisite. Basic computer skills preferred. This position requires strong interpersonal skills, enthusiasm for The Villages and all it has to offer, a desire to serve and the ability to problem solve and to handle a variety of variables. Must be able to communicate with customers, guests, and team members confidently and effectively. This position requires the ability to memorize and recite information clearly and accurately. Experience with public speaking a plus.
