Healthcare Host/Hostess/Dietary Aide Manatee Memorial Hospital 206 2nd Street East, Bradenton, FL 34208 Job Summary We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team in the hospitality industry. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring a warm welcome and a smooth dining experience. This role requires excellent guest service skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to manage reservations and seating efficiently. Duties Greet guests upon arrival with a friendly demeanor and assist them in seating arrangements. Manage reservations and waitlists using the Aloha POS system or similar software. Provide guests with menus and inform them of daily specials or promotions. Maintain an organized and clean host/host area, ensuring that it is welcoming at all times. Answer phone calls promptly, providing information about the restaurant, menu items, and reservation availability while demonstrating excellent phone etiquette. Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely service and guest satisfaction. Assist in managing the flow of guests during busy periods to optimize seating efficiency. Address any guest inquiries or concerns promptly to ensure a positive dining experience. Qualifications Previous experience in guest services or customer service roles is preferred, particularly in a restaurant or hospitality setting. Familiarity with POS systems, especially Aloha POS, is a plus but not required; training will be provided. Strong communication skills with an emphasis on phone etiquette and interpersonal interactions. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. A passion for food service and hospitality, with a commitment to providing exceptional guest experiences. Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
