Host/Hostess Barton G 1427 West Avenue, Miami Beach, FL 33139 Barton G. has redefined event design through innovative and cutting-edge techniques. Barton G. services Fortune 500 companies, sports, and corporate clients by employing a vertically integrated team of specialists in experiential marketing, event design, planning, management, sound and lighting design, scenic production, multi-media production, catering, and culinary design.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Welcome guests in a warm and friendly manner. Ascertains their dining/lodging needs. Seats guests and manage the seating chart. Monitors restaurant activity to determine seating and dining flow. Responds to guest inquiries and requests in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner. When possible, open the front door for guests entering or leaving the restaurant. When immediate seating is limited, record guest names and number of people in party. Provide guests with estimated waiting time. Accommodate special seating requests for guests whenever possible. Seat guests based on guest preferences and balancing of customer flow in service stations. Answer phones within 3 rings. Upon seating, offer guests a menu and inform them of their server’s name. Inspect table for proper presentation and completeness. Relay messages to servers and bus persons as needed. Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return.
Qualifications:
Prior experience in a guest service environment preferred. Attentive and detailed oriented. Ability to maintain a high energy level in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Capable of performing specified procedures and following instructions.
Effective communication skills:
ability to communicate with guests and co-workers. Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 6 hours). Must have exceptional grooming habits.
