18th Street, Miami, FL 33132 Job Summary We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Hostess to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring a smooth dining experience. This role requires exceptional guest service skills, effective communication, and the ability to manage reservations and seating efficiently. Duties Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide them with menus. Manage reservations and seating arrangements to optimize table turnover while ensuring guest comfort. Maintain an organized waiting list during busy periods, keeping guests informed of wait times. Assist with guest inquiries regarding menu items, specials, and restaurant policies. Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely service and guest satisfaction. Handle phone calls professionally, taking reservations and answering questions about the restaurant. Uphold cleanliness and organization in the host/host area as well as throughout the dining space. Skills Strong guest services skills with a focus on customer satisfaction. Familiarity with POS systems for managing orders and payments is preferred. Previous experience in a restaurant or hotel environment is advantageous. Excellent guest relations abilities to foster a welcoming atmosphere. Proficient phone etiquette for handling inquiries and reservations effectively. Knowledge of food service practices to assist guests with menu selections. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with both guests and team members.
