Position Overview We are seeking a warm, organized, and confident Hostess to be the first point of contact for our guests. As a critical part of the Front-of-House (FOH) team, the Hostess plays a pivotal role in shaping the guest experience from the moment they book a reservation through the time they are seated. You will work directly under the Director of Hospitality and be expected to maintain the pace of service, manage seating flow, and provide a gracious and welcoming environment. Key Responsibilities Greet and seat guests with warmth, professionalism, and attentiveness. Manage and maintain the reservation system (OpenTable), coordinating with management to block/unblock seating based on events, staffing, or pacing needs. Maintain accurate waitlists and communicate clearly with guests during busy periods. Monitor dining room and bar flow in real-time to ensure consistent pacing of service. Support the FOH team by anticipating guest needs and flagging service issues to the management team. Communicate daily with the Director of Hospitality and provide relevant service updates. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and entry area. Assist with printing and organizing daily menus when needed (under management direction). Represent Zitz Sum’s values and brand in all interactions with guests and team members. Qualifications Previous hospitality or customer service experience preferred. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Comfortable managing digital reservation platforms (e.g., OpenTable). Ability to remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
