Maitre d’ Amazonico Restaurant Miami 800 Brickell Avenue, Miami, FL 33131 Originally launched in Madrid and now with renowned locations in London, Dubai, and Monte Carlo, Amazónico is a unique dining destination that blends the rich cultural heritage of the Amazon region with elevated cuisine, exceptional service, and a vibrant atmosphere. As we prepare to open our Miami location, we’re seeking passionate hospitality professionals who are ready to help us deliver an extraordinary experience. Position Summary As the Maitre D’ at Amazónico Miami, you will be the face of our guest experience from the moment they arrive. You will play a critical role in maintaining the flow of the restaurant, managing guest relations, coordinating with reservations and front-of-house teams, and ensuring a welcoming and seamless experience for every guest. You will set the tone for service excellence while embodying the warmth, elegance, and vibrant energy that define the Amazónico brand. Key Responsibilities Amazonico Responsibilities Support the smooth operation of the restaurant and ensure every guest receives exceptional service aligned with Amazónico standards. Attend meetings and training sessions as required by the management team. Be a proactive team player and maintain flexibility to support efficient and profitable operations. Possess a general understanding of the food, dessert, and beverage menus to confidently assist guests. Respond to guest needs and communicate important information to the management team. Escalate guest complaints, feedback, or service issues to management promptly and professionally. Be hands-on and present during service, leading by example on the floor. Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and safety in accordance with health regulations. Adhere to company protocols on emergency procedures, including fire and bomb threats. Departmental Responsibilities Personally greet arriving guests and bid farewell to departing guests with warmth and professionalism. Maintain a service-focused mindset, continually seeking to improve guest satisfaction and operational standards. Assist with answering phone calls, handling guest inquiries, and ensuring accurate and professional communication. Work closely with the Reservations Department to optimize booking allocations and maximize covers. Monitor and manage reservation flow with attention to guest needs and table turns. Stay informed about restaurant promotions and relevant social media activity. Support in other areas of the business or locations when needed. Maintain cleanliness of host stand and front-of-house areas. Role-Specific Responsibilities Escort guests to their tables and ensure they are comfortably seated. Accurately take and manage bookings while adhering to all reservation policies and standards. Ensure reservation notes and guest preferences are clearly recorded and communicated via the POS system. Manage the booking system efficiently to maximize table utilization during all service periods. Assist in maintaining up-to-date and accurate guest profiles to personalize and elevate future dining experiences. Train and mentor the host/hostess team, providing real-time feedback and support as needed. Perform relay duties on the floor when required to support the FOH team during busy services. Ensure menus and materials are clean, current, and in good condition at all times. Complete daily and weekly reports accurately and share with relevant departments. Qualifications 3+ years of experience in a high-end restaurant or hospitality environment, preferably in a host/maitre d’ or guest relations role Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a warm, confident, and approachable demeanor Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask under pressure Proficient in reservation and POS systems (experience with SevenRooms or OpenTable preferred) Passion for hospitality and delivering a world-class guest experience Fluent in English; Spanish or other languages a plus Flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
