Host/Hostess Kawa Japanese Steakhouse 8631 Little Road, New Port Richey, FL 34654 Job Overview We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring a warm welcome and smooth dining experience. This role requires excellent guest service skills, effective communication, and the ability to manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently. Duties Greet guests upon arrival with a friendly demeanor and assist them with seating arrangements. Manage reservations and maintain an organized waiting list during busy periods. Communicate effectively with the kitchen and wait staff to ensure timely service. Provide guests with menus and inform them about daily specials or promotions. Handle phone inquiries regarding reservations, menu items, and general restaurant information with professionalism and phone etiquette. Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area. Foster positive guest relations by addressing any concerns or requests promptly. Qualifications Previous experience in guest services or customer service roles, preferably in a restaurant or hotel setting. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with guests and team members. Familiarity with Aloha POS or similar point-of-sale systems is a plus. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. A positive attitude and a passion for providing exceptional guest experiences.
