Host Osteria Pollani 201 Main Street, Safety Harbor, FL 34695 Job Overview We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring a positive dining experience. This role requires excellent communication skills and a passion for hospitality, as you will interact with guests and staff throughout your shift. Responsibilities Greet and welcome guests as they arrive, ensuring they feel valued and appreciated. Manage the seating chart to optimize table turnover while maintaining guest comfort. Assist guests with inquiries regarding the menu, specials, and restaurant services. Handle phone calls with professionalism, providing information and taking reservations as needed. Collaborate with the serving staff to ensure timely service and guest satisfaction. Utilize Aloha POS or other point-of-sale systems to manage reservations and guest flow efficiently. Maintain cleanliness in the host/host area, ensuring it is presentable at all times. Address guest concerns promptly and effectively, providing solutions to enhance their experience. Requirements Previous experience in hospitality or customer service is preferred. Strong communication skills with an emphasis on guest relations. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Proficiency in phone etiquette and handling inquiries professionally. Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Aloha POS, is a plus but not required; training will be provided. A positive attitude and a commitment to providing exceptional guest services.
