We are looking for a customer oriented and organized Host to ensure our guests have a positive dining experience from the moment they arrive till their departure. As the Hostess, you will greet customers as they enter a restaurant, take their reservations or put them on a waiting list, pro menus and shows them to their seats. You will also engage with guests to ensure their meal is as good as it should be. Assist servers in observing guests and anticipating needs to ensure their satisfaction (i.e. Refills, ready for check, etc.) Perform cleaning of tables, serving stations, bar counter, and other cleaning tasks as needed or directed by supervisor Reset tables at guests’ departure and at end of shifts Maintain positive communication with all members of each department within the hotel Responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organization of menus Greet each guest that you encounter during your shift with a friendly smile. Ensures uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional. Follow hotel procedures for reporting and turning in lost and found articles. Coordinate with other departments as necessary to resolve service requests or problems. Ensure guest and associate safety by following established security procedures including emergency procedures, key security and protecting guest and company confidential information. Follow all company and safety procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; and complete safety training and certifications. Qualifications To do well in this role you should be comfortable standing for long periods and managing a very busy shift. Qualified applicants should be highly organized and team oriented with an innate sense of urgency and the ability to work in a fast pace environment Prior experience with customer service or food and beverage is preferred. Must be able to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance and objects in excess of 50 pounds with assistance. Stands, sits, or walks for an extended time period.
