Location:

Hilton Pensacola Beach We are looking for a skilled and friendly Restaurant Host to join our team! The Host is responsible for ensuring the prompt recognition and seating of all guests and assists the servers in providing attentive, courteous, and efficient service to guests throughout their dining experience. This role is also responsible for assisting the cashier in the collection of payment for all guest transactions. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Always approaches all interactions with guests and employees in a friendly and service-oriented manner by maintaining a positive demeanor.
  • Promotes a positive and caring work environment by addressing and resolving any conflict in a calm and poised manner.
  • Engages and creates a positive experience for guests.
  • Greets and seats guests at appropriate tables in a timely manner, providing menus and occasionally taking drink orders as the guests wait for their server.
  • Be attentive of guests’ needs and assists in providing a pleasant dining experience.
  • Assists cashier in collection of cash or credit cards from guests and servers as needed.
  • Pays out servers’ and service attendants’ tips if appropriate.
  • Properly takes reservations as well as room service orders.
  • Ensures quality control of menus with regard to cleanliness and appearance.
  • Performs opening and closing duties according to established side work.
  • Answers all phone calls according to standards.
  • Maintains knowledge of menus and current or daily specials.
  • Adheres to all relevant health department rules/regulations and all customer service guidelines.
  • Maintains a friendly attitude, attending all guests in an efficient and prompt manner.
  • Projects a professional manner with an emphasis on hospitality and guest service.
  • Maintains a clean, healthy, and safe working area along with awareness of all sanitary practices.
  • Supports other staff to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Adheres to safety and quality regulations.
  • Handles guest complaints and solves problem to the degree possible.
  • Performs any other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications 1. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. 2. Minimum 1 year of host and customer service experience required, hospitality industry preferred. 3. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions provided in written, oral, or scheduled form. 4. Ability to read, write, and speak effectively in English in order to communicate with guests and team members. 5. Knowledge of reservation and POS systems. 6.
