Full Job Description Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive at the restaurant
- Seat guests and provide them with menus
- Take reservations and manage the waitlist
- Escort guests to their tables and ensure they are comfortable
- Provide accurate wait times and monitor the dining areas
- Answer phone calls and assist with inquiries or reservations
- Maintain a clean and organized host/hostess station
- Collaborate with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth operations
Experience:
- Previous experience as a host/hostess or in a similar role is preferred
- Familiarity with JONAS POS or other point-of-sale systems is a plus
- Strong hospitality skills with the ability to provide excellent guest services
- Effective communication skills to interact with guests and team members
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of food service and restaurant operations
