Host/Hostess The Sauce Italian Kitchen & Bar 100 Blue Moon Crossing, Pooler, GA 31322 Job Overview We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring an exceptional dining experience. Your responsibilities will include managing reservations, greeting guests, and coordinating seating arrangements in a fast-paced restaurant environment. We are located right across the from our sister restaurant The Taco Stache. Responsibilities Greet and welcome guests as they arrive, ensuring a positive first impression. Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently to optimize guest flow. Communicate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely service and guest satisfaction. Answer phone calls with professionalism, providing information about the restaurant and taking reservations. Utilize the POS system for managing guest check-ins and tracking wait times. Assist guests with inquiries and provide recommendations to enhance their dining experience. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and waiting area. Handle guest relations with care, addressing any concerns or special requests promptly. Skills Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction. Excellent communication abilities, both verbal and written. Familiarity with food service operations and restaurant environments is preferred. Proficiency in using POS systems, particularlyToast POS, is a plus. Good phone etiquette for handling reservations and inquiries effectively. Ability to work well under pressure in a busy restaurant setting. A team player who can collaborate effectively with colleagues to ensure smooth operations.
