The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring a warm welcome and a positive dining experience. This role requires excellent communication skills and a passion for hospitality, making it essential to create an inviting atmosphere for all patrons. Duties Greet guests as they arrive and provide them with a warm welcome. Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently to optimize guest flow. Communicate wait times clearly and ensure guests are comfortable while they wait. Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the host/host area. Answer phone calls promptly, providing information about menu items, reservations, and restaurant policies. Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service delivery. Utilize POS systems effectively for managing reservations and orders when necessary. Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly to enhance their dining experience. Skills Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred. Strong guest relations skills to foster a welcoming environment. Excellent phone etiquette for handling inquiries and reservations professionally. Ability to communicate effectively with both guests and team members. Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Aloha POS, is a plus but not required. A proactive approach to helping guests and ensuring their needs are met in a timely manner.
