Host/Hostess Felix’s Restaurant and Oyster Bar 739 Iberville Street, New Orleans, LA 70130 Job Summary We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring excellent guest relations. Your primary duties will involve managing reservations, greeting guests, and coordinating seating arrangements to optimize the dining experience. Responsibilities Greet guests warmly upon arrival and escort them to their tables. Manage reservations and maintain an organized seating chart to ensure efficient service. Communicate effectively with the kitchen and wait staff to coordinate guest needs. Provide information about menu items, specials, and restaurant policies. Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the host stand and dining area. Handle guest inquiries and concerns with professionalism and a focus on customer service. Support the restaurant team during busy periods by helping with food service or guest services as needed. Qualifications Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred. Strong communication skills with the ability to engage positively with guests. Knowledge of POS systems is a plus but not required; training will be provided. Excellent customer service skills with a passion for providing exceptional guest experiences. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
